Kōs Nëqüe Kez (/koːs/ /nɛq˔/ [immune] [pump]) is a subtropical Town located in the Kōhyöqüe Moot of the Viceroyalty of Rosid.

The name Kōs Nëqüe Kez is derived from the Wood Elvish language, as Kōs Nëqüe Kez was founded by Gúdien Neerlush, who was culturaly Wood Elven.

Climate

Kōs Nëqüe Kez has a yearly average temperature of 20°C (68°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a warm 28°C (82°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a cool 12°C (53°F). Overview

Kōs Nëqüe Kez was founded durring the early 11th century, by Gúdien Neerlush. The establishment of the new community went well, with no major obsticles durring construction.

Kōs Nëqüe Kez was built using the conventions of Wood Elven durring the early 11th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Kōs Nëqüe Kez is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature waddle and daub construction with good timber frames and a stone foundation protected by thatched or shingled rooves. Most buildings with second floors are built in such a way as to overhang into the streets on the upper floors for more space, as building size seems to be the primary indicator of wealth within the community. Most buildings are not decorated with any integral features, but instead use ivy, flowers, and other natural elements in planters of on trellices to breathe life into the structure they grow upon.

Kōs Nëqüe Kez is buildings are arranged within a network of broad gravel streets which form a rectangular grid, where each block verries in size given the proximity of the paralell streets forming each section. The ocasional smaller block has been used to construct a park, plaza, and other communal structures. The town rests behind the absurdity that is a thick, timber braced, wall made of clay bricks. While visualy impressive and certainly an astetic, Kōs Nëqüe Kez's wall provides no actual defence against siege equipment due to the choice of its cosntruction materials. Even nonexperts can tell the town is trying to impress rather than defend with its walls, towers, and gatehouses. Though admittedly, they do look nice... To primitive tribals who have never seen fortifications before. Unfortuantly, these political statment focused walls are in extreem disrepair, so much so that one cannot tell if they are decaying from a lack of mantance or damage incured.

A look around Kōs Nëqüe Kez makes it abundantly clear the town suffered something horrible some time ago. It’s a quiet town filled with closed scriptoriums, people quietly yet dejectedly reading in isolated places around town, and the occasional book laying in a heap of garbage.

Civic Infrastructure

Kōs Nëqüe Kez has a public schooling program overseen by the Hall of Sages who has the responsibility of ensuring access to affordable high-quality education in all basic classes (Reading, Writing, Mathmatics, General Sciences, General Arcana, and Social Education) is made available to all citizens.

Cultural Notes

Kōs Nëqüe Kez's bank was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is admittedly strange and non-linear style rooted in defiance of symmetrical shapes. It championed the creation of buildings with a unique visual appearance. the structural norms of classic buildings and deforms or moves away from elementary architectural principles. By including non-linear designs processed into its buildings and favoring fragmentation, this style expressed a form of controlled chaos. Its buildings appear out-of-the-ordinary, draw the eye in immediately and sometimes create a feeling of strangeness. These distorted shapes and structure are not reserved to the building’s outer facade, they destabilize interior elements too, favoring minimalism and play on people’s perceptions by injecting a futuristic touch.

Due to the actions of local Kami, summer is long in Kōs Nëqüe Kez.

Kōs Nëqüe Kez's citizens partake in a curious ritual relating to their local kami. It takes place in spring and involves orgies to channel Mysticism energies of tier 3 via throat singing.
